So I'm Still 5 - Obviously

Well. I'm sitting here in the SGA office. Waiting for Dane. Who, of course, is being a pain in the Dane. He is now 16 minutes late. So I'm just hanging out.

Anyways, SB, you told me to write something, but nothing happens here. I went to Nashville Saturday for a lacrosse game against Vandy. Sunday I did a lot of cleaning, studying, and crying. Then I went to k-group, and that was fun. Monday - didn't do so hot on an anatomy test (the class average was a 54 - our teacher curved it 20+ points). Tuesday - tons of sprints at lacrosse. Double-points Tuesday at Qdoba. Oh, that's an interesting story.

Tuesday night, on the way back from Qdoba, Kaleigh and Sarah Waller and I stopped by Walmart so they could pick up some stuff. Well we're on Greensprings, and Kaleigh lanes over so she can be behind this sketchy construction-type truck, filled with 3 or 4 sketchy rednecks. She goes "I got behind them so we didn't have to be next to them.. Oh. Wait. I will not be afraid of them!" And she proceeds to lane back over so we are right next to them.

They all stare at us.

I was sitting behind the driver's seat, and the truck was on the passenger side of the car. In all of her thoughtfulness, Kaleigh rolls down the passenger window all the way. So they start talking to me. Of course I try to lean over and roll up the window, but my seat belt gets stuck and my finger stops about an inch and a half away from the button.

The light turns green, my window is still down, and they continue to stare at me. They turn the same way onto Lakeshore. They get into the Walmart turn lane. They follow us into the Walmart parking lot. After we drove around in circles through the parking lot, waiting for them to park, we parked on the opposite side of the parking lot, as close to the door as possible. As soon as the coast was clear, we sprinted into the Walmart. As soon as we got into the store, we look left - no one. Look right - all 3 of them are walking straight towards us. Kaleigh and I take off full speed. We run down the main food aisle, take a sharp right into the school supplies section, then zig-zag through the men's clothing section. Without slowing down, we head straight for the craft section and hide. Meanwhile, Sarah Waller bravely and calmly goes and gets the few things she came to get. At one point, she came within 5 feet of one of the men, and even made eye contact with him. What a brave soul.

Kaleigh and I pick up the two things she needed, and continue to hide behind things for cover, and sprint whenever we were out in the open. If the military would have seen our moves, I'm pretty sure they would have drafted us for the Marines or secret service or something along those lines.

Anyways, after checking out, we sprinted to the car, locked the doors, and made it back to Samford alive.

Story over.
